Business Sentiment - September 2012

The Ibec business sentiment series has been conducted quarterly since February 2009. Around 400 responses are analysed in each quarterly survey, and the data collected provides valuable insight into Ibec member sentiment both on individual businesses and on the economy generally. The results for September 2012 are contained in this section.

01/11/2012 - The majority of exporting firms remain broadly positive about their sales expectations, although this has been tempered somewhat by worries around global and EU growth prospects. In contrast, most companies operating in the fragile domestic economy remain gloomy.
