Payment-by-results model for “JobPath” programme

21/12/2013 - The Department of Social Protection has gone to the market for third party/private providers of employment activation services aimed specifically at the long-term unemployed and those most distant from the labour market.

Infrastructure 2020: Building beyond the bailout

19/12/2013 - On 2 December 2013, Ibec published a new report, Infrastructure 2020: Building beyond the bailout, which calls on government to spend 4% of GDP on infrastructure development by 2020.

Government review of public works contracts

18/12/2013 - Government is reviewing the public works contracts. Views are welcome from industry on how these contracts could be improved.

Ibec members' consultation on public procurement

18/12/2013 - Ibec is seeking input from business is being sought on areas for reform or improvement, current issues or problems in public procurement. Input received will form a key part of our interactions with Government in 2014.

Update: Office of Government Procurement

18/12/2013 - The Office of Government Procurement has seen several key developments in the past six months. These include establishing key operational structures, delivery requirements and key senior appointments.

National public procurement survey 2014

09/12/2013 - The third annual survey of public procurement in Ireland was launched on 9 December. It is being carried out by the Dublin City University Business School on behalf of the Office of Government Procurement (OGP).

Clarification on the use of framework contracts by the public sector

18/10/2013 - The Office of Government Procurement published Circular 16/13: Revision of arrangements concerning the use of Central Contracts put in place by the National Procurement Service to provide greater certainty in the use of such contracts.

Projects to be funded from proceeds of the National Lottery sale announced

17/10/2013 - More than €400 million is set to be generated from the sale of National Lottery licence. 50% will fund the construction of the new National Children's Hospital and the rest being used to fund small-scale capital projects.
